大消息。
外星智慧生命存在的证据，不论它是如何发现的，都将是有
史以来最大的消息，然而除非是实质性的接触，除非我们进行肉
体上的接触并与其他智慧生命建立更加密切的关系，否则连这种
消息也会逐渐淡退消隐。
我个人的感觉是，人类这条最重大的消息造成的震撼将会从
根本上彻底动摇我们的世界及其社会。但是，一些人将会比另一
些人准备得更充分。那些思想比较开放，接受新事物能力比较强，
能够摒弃教条主义和偏见的人将会快乐而心甘情愿地拥抱这一变
化。我们将满怀希望地看见一个崭新的、截然不同的世界从落日
的余辉里显现，一个因此而变得更加美好的世界。
